The SIEMENS BURSARY Programme – Fields Covered
Siemens invites students to apply for its bursary program for the 2020 academic year.
These fields will receive bursaries for study:
- Bachelor Of Engineering Technology
- Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current and Light Currents) (BEng/BSc)
- Electronic Engineering (BEng/BSc)
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics (BEng).
- Information Technology/ Computer Science and Computer Engineering Bachelor’s Degree

About the SIEMENS Bursary Programme – Service Contract & Selection
The recipients of bursaries will be required by Siemens to work vacation work.
Siemens will contact applicants who meet the criteria for bursaries to conduct a virtual video-interview. The bursary will be awarded to students who successfully complete the interview. If you haven’t been contacted by the University, then your application has not been successful.

The SIEMENS BURSARY is open to all eligible applicants.
Before applying, applicants must meet the minimum requirements (please be aware that if you do not meet all of the requirements your application will not be considered).
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must be aged between 18 and 25.
- Unemployed?
- You must either be in Matric (in 2023) or have completed Matric
- In 2024, you must be currently studying full-time or plan to study full-time towards one of the qualifications above.
- You must be enrolled or accepted at a tertiary education institution that is accredited and recognised in South Africa
- You must have attained a minimum level of 5 in English for Matric
- You must have attained a minimum level 5 in Pure Mathematics during Matric.
- You must have attained a minimum level 5 in Physical Science during Matric.
- You must have a minimum average of 65% in the current academic year (Matriculation or Tertiary Studies).
- You cannot receive any other funding (NSFAS/ Bursary/ Scholarship etc.)
- Registration requirements for your institution are important
- Students from underprivileged backgrounds will be given priority.
