Orion Engineered Carbons is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2025 academic year. Bursaries are available for students residing within the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality (Eastern Cape) for diploma/degree studies in the following fields:
- Analytical Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
More About the Orion Bursary Programme – Selection
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by 10 January 2025 and invited to attend interviews. If you do not receive feedback by this date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
Bursaries are awarded for one academic year and are renewable each year, depending on academic performance.
Eligibility Requirements for the Orion Bursary
To apply, you need to meet these criteria:
- Reside within the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality in the Eastern Cape province
- Live in a previously disadvantaged area
- Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric (Umalusi)
- Have achieved a minimum APS pass rate of 5 for Mathematics and Science in Matric
- Be studying or planning to study towards a qualification in one of the specified fields
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged individuals.
