It is bordered by the Elias Motsoaledi, Fetakgomo, Ephraim Mogale, and Lepelle Nkumpi Municipalities. The name “Makhuduthamaga” means “executives,” a term from the Fetakgomo movement in the 1950s.
This rural municipality thrives on traditional land ownership and is home to over 270,000 residents and more than 65,000 households. Spanning more than 2,000 square kilometers, the main language spoken here is Sepedi.
