About the Sasria Bursary Programme – Fields Covered
Sasria is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2025 academic year. The bursary supports studies in fields deemed scarce skills by the company, aiming to build a pipeline of talented young individuals.
Bursaries are available for undergraduate bachelor’s degree studies in the following fields:
- Accounting
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Finance
- Information Technology
- Insurance
- Mathematics
- Risk Management
- Statistics
Eligibility Requirements for the Sasria Bursary
To apply, you must meet these criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 16 and 20 years old
- Be currently in Matric (in 2024) or have completed Matric
- Be planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree in one of the specified fields
- Be entering your first year of bachelor’s degree study in 2025
- Have passed Mathematics in Matric (NOT Mathematics Literacy)
- Achieve a minimum overall average of 70% in Matric
- Be planning to study at a recognized and accredited university in South Africa
- Have a total household income of LESS than R600,000 per annum

- Parents’ or guardians’ proof of income (most recent payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, affidavit declaring monthly income if self-employed) (certified copies)
- Proof of Residence
- Motivational letter supporting your application (about yourself, your academic and leadership achievements, and why you should be considered for the bursary)
