About the INSETA & LGSETA International Scholarship Programme – Fields Covered
The CCIEEC, in collaboration with LGSETA and INSETA, is inviting students to apply for their International Scholarship for the 2025 academic year to study in China.
You could earn a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree with a special focus on fields like Cross Border E-commerce, Internet of Things Application Technology, Computer Technology, and Artificial Intelligence Technology. A total of 540 scholarships are up for grabs, covering various fields including:

Expenses Covered & Selection
The scholarship takes care of tuition fees, visa applications, annual return flights, domestic transportation in China related to your studies, hospital insurance, shared accommodation, and an allowance. However, you’ll need to cover your passport (about R600), Police Clearance Certificate (about R180), medical exam (about R2,000), and any other additional costs.
All applications will be reviewed by the CCIEEC, LGSETA, and INSETA. If you’re shortlisted, expect to hear back within three months after the closing date. If not, consider your application unsuccessful.
Eligibility Requirements

- Be a South African citizen.
- Aged between 18 and 25.
- Completed Matric before 2024.
- Excited to study in China.
- Interested in one of the specified fields.
