The Bursary covers university tuition fees as well as a monthly allowance to cover living expenses. The bursary will not only cover the cost of tuition fees, but also provide a monthly allowance for living expenses and incidentals.
All BBD bursary winners are required to attend a workshop on-site for 1 week every year. They will get the chance to meet fellow bursars, and learn about BBD culture. The Vac Week Workshop will involve a group project that will utilize the latest technology to come up with fun and practical solutions.
Students will gain experience in a wide range of technologies and tools. Students will begin their work on real projects after graduation.
The BBD Bursary requires that you meet certain eligibility requirements.
Before applying, applicants must meet the minimum requirements (please be aware that if you do not meet all of the requirements your application will not be considered).
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must either be currently enrolled in Matric OR you must have completed Matric.
- You must be enrolled in a course of study (Masters, Doctorate, Bachelors) or have been accepted to do so.
- You must be accepted or studying at an accredited and recognised University in South Africa
- If you are currently in Matric, you must have a minimum average of 70%.
- If you are currently studying, you must have a minimum average of 65% in your tertiary education.
- You must have a passion for technology and software development.
