How to use the program:
- The successful candidates are given the chance to test their problem solving, community challenge, conflict resolution and employability skills during the program. The participants will take part in taster sessions that are designed to test their problem-solving, conflict resolution and employability abilities.
- The Nanodegree badge will be awarded to candidates who complete the course successfully. This badge can then be displayed on social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
- Level 1: Top candidates of the previous level are given the chance to pursue intermediate nanodegrees.
- Level 2: Candidates who have passed level 1 will receive a scholarship and will be able to enter level 2, where they will earn a nanodegree. This part of the program lasts two months.
- Candidates who have successfully completed all assessment and program may be considered for permanent roles.
Eligibility Requirements for the ADVANCE AFRICA Scholarship
Before applying, applicants must meet the minimum requirements (please be aware that if you do not meet all of the requirements your application will not be considered).
- You must be a citizen of one of the following: Botswana. Cameroon. DR Congo. Gambia. Ghana. Guinea. Kenya. Mozambique. Nigeria. Rwanda. Sierra Leone. South Africa.
- You must be aged between 20-30 years old
- You must have a STEM degree OR demonstrate a strong interest and passion for IT/career in the Digital Environment. (This evidence must be documented in the application process).
- Laptops are essential.
- You need a powerful Wi-Fi/data network
- It is essential that you have access to an adequate power supply
- The programme must be completed in full
- You must consent to the sharing of your data by the company with the bank during the application process.
