The PG Group was founded in Cape Town in South Africa in 1897. The group manufactures, installs, and distributes automotive glass, aluminium, and glass film solutions. PG is the best-known glass brand in Southern Africa.
The PG Group has invested in many well-known companies. PG Primador is a supplier of high quality aluminium frames, doors and shower door frames. PFG is a leading manufacturer of patterned and float glass as well as mirrors, laminated glasses, and sealant. PG Glass is the leading supplier of glass replacement for building and auto. PG Building Glass is the leading distributor of SmartGlass products, mirrors and floats. Shatterprufe are the top distributors and producers of OE Auto glass and replacement products. LLumar Films, who manufacture LLumar(tm), high performance window films for auto glass and home glass. PG Africa distributes, repairs and replaces auto and building glasses. Widney Transport Components, who provide sliding window solutions for commercial vehicles and specialty sliding windows.
ABOUT THE PG GROUPS BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED
The PG Group invites students to apply for its bursary program for the 2020 academic year.
The following fields are eligible for bursaries:
- Chemical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
PG GROUP BURSALY PROGRAMME – COVERAGE, VALUE & SELECTION
The bursary covers the following costs: tuition fees, books prescribed, stationary, living allowance, and accommodation at university residence rates.
All bursary recipients receive both financial and developmental support during the entire programme.
Graduate programme may offer employment to bursary recipients after graduation.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS FOR THE PG GROUP BUSHARY
Before applying, applicants must meet the minimum requirements (please be aware that if you do not meet all of the requirements your application will not be considered).
- You must be a South African Citizen
- You must have completed Matriculation
- You must have a minimum average of 70% overall in Matriculation
- You must be enrolled in full-time study towards one of the above Engineering qualifications.
- In 2023, you must be in the first year of your studies
- You must have achieved an overall average of at least 65% during your first academic year
- The bursary is only available to students studying at recognised universities in South Africa .
- You must be interested in a career as a Chemical Engineer, Electrical or Electronics Engineer
